Tycho Brahe, Johannes Kepler and the Open Science video

The NeuroMat scientific dissemination has recently launched another short movie, this time a spin-off video of our previous "open science" one. This short video is called "Tycho Brahe, Johannes Kepler and the Open Science". As you know, open science is the movement to make scientific research, data and dissemination accessible to all levels of an inquiring society, amateur or professional. Both videos were supported by FAPESP and presents RIDC NeuroMat commitment to open science best practices.

Streaming of two sections on the uses of Wikipedia for education and scientific dissemination

Videos of the workshops "The Use of Wikipedia in Education," with LiAnna Davis (Wiki Edu Foundation), and "How to disseminate scientific topics on Wikimedia projects," with Davis and João Alexandre Peschanski (NeuroMat/FCL), that occurred on March 13 and 14, at the University of São Paulo. LASCON: a video presentation

A NeuroMat initiative, the Latin American School on Computational Neuroscience (LASCON) is one of the most important computational neuroscience schools in the world. Its mission is to provide an intensive training for advanced undergraduate and graduate students, an introduction to mathematical and computational tools for neural modeling and analysis. The school relies on theory-driven sections and practical, hands-on activities.

NeuroMat Parkinson Network: a video presentation

Aiming at improving the life quality of people with Parkinson's Disease, the Research, Innovation and Dissemination Center for Neuromathematics (RIDC NeuroMat) has created the network Amparo. It brings together people with the disease, relatives, helpers, students and professionals to establish a flow of exchange to better the understanding of this disease in Brazil and especially connecting knowledge from the frontier of science to health policies and clinical guidelines.
