NeuroMat takes part in scientific exhibition at São Carlos

NeuroMat's researchers will take part in the ExpoT&C, one of the most important exhibitions of science, technology and innovation of the country. Researchers from institutes, universities, development agencies, government entities will be present in the event, that will occur from 13 to 18 July, at Universidade Federal de São Carlos (UFSCar), in São Carlos (SP).

"Spike Sorting," a NeuroMat movie

The Research, Innovation and Dissemination Center for Neuromathematics (FAPESP’s CEPID NeuroMat) released in June the movie “Spike Sorting: Ontology Droplet,” a nine-minute-long introduction and step-by-step presentation of a technique to classify neuronal spikes featuring Prof. Christophe Pouzat, a researcher of the Applied Maths Laboratory of the Paris-Descartes University and a specialist in spike sorting. The movie is available with subtitles in English (original language) and in Portuguese on Youtube and Wikimedia Commons. Released under a Creative Commons license (CC BY-SA 3.0), the movie may be freely shared, as long as original attribution is properly specified.

First NeuroMat Young Researchers Workshop: a kickoff for renewed collaborations in Neuromathematics

The Research, Innovation and Dissemination Center for Neuromathematics (NeuroMat) held the First NeuroMat Young Researchers Workshop in São Paulo, from May 5 to May 7, 2015. According to the Scientific Dissemination coordinator, Antonio Carlos Roque, the event achieved its goals of exchanging knowledge between young and senior researchers, and of preparing young researchers for their future challenges in academic life.

NeuroMat to host Workshop on Stochastic Modelling of Neural Nets and Spike Sorting

The Research, Innovation and Dissemination Center for Neuromathematics (NeuroMat) will host the Workshop on Stochastic Modelling of Neural Nets and Spike Sorting, in São Paulo, from May 26 to May 28. NeuroMat is located at the University of São Paulo and funded by the São Paulo Research Foundation (FAPESP).
