A call to duty: NeuroMat and the Wikipedia Initiative

NeuroMat is launching a Wikipedia Initiative. The general purposes of this initiative are to contribute to improving entries in the encyclopedia pertaining to neuromathematics by making it easier for NeuroMat members and supporters to become involved in editing these entries and to facilitating Wikipedia-related assignments in classrooms or elsewhere as a means of scientific dissemination.

Position for PhD student

The recently established Research, Innovation and Dissemination Center for Neuromathematics (NeuroMat), hosted by the University of São Paulo, Brazil, and funded by FAPESP (São Paulo Research Foundation) is offering two doctoral fellowships for candidates with outstanding research potential.

NeuroMat Research Just Published

We are very pleased to see a NeuroMat research published in PloS ONE, on January 14, 2014. The authors include Cláudia D. Vargas and Daniel Fraiman, respectively a NeuroMat principal and associate investigator.

NeuroMat launches Wikipedia initiative

NeuroMat, the Research, Innovation and Dissemination Center for Neuromathematics, calls on its members and supporters to deploy the capacity of Wikipedia to represent neuromathematics as fully and as accurately as possible. This initiative is part of the broad commitment of NeuroMat toward scientific dissemination and open science, and it has been announced as a “call to duty” by Antonio Galves, the head of NeuroMat.
