The recently established Research, Innovation and Dissemination Center on Neuromathematics (NeuroMat), hosted by the University of São Paulo, Brazil, and funded by FAPESP (São Paulo Research Foundation) is offering technical training scholarships for Computer Science/Engineering professionals interested in applying their Computing experience on a world class scientific project. This project aims to integrate modeling with basic and applied research at the frontier of neuroscience. The goal of the project is to develop a mathematical and computational framework leading to the theoretical understanding of neural systems, fully integrated with experimental research in neuroscience. New models, theories, and open source software will be developed to handle the huge quantity of data produced by current experimental research and to provide a conceptual framework for the multiscale aspects of neural phenomena. The recipient will interact with researchers from University of São Paulo and other NeuroMat collaborating institutions in supporting activities for the research activities of the center, including obtaining electrophysiological signals (such as EEG, TMS and EMG) in experimental sessions, and signal data conditioning and analysis.

The Research, Innovation and Dissemination Center on Neuromathematics (NeuroMat), hosted by the University of São Paulo, Brazil, and funded by FAPESP (São Paulo Research Foundation) is offering internship positions to undergraduate students who are interested in making use of their computer knowledge in the development of high-level scientific research. The intern will interact with researchers from USP and other scientists and collaborators from NeuroMat, especially in developing, standardizing, maintaining and installing support software to the scientific research of the center. NeuroMat aims to developing scientific and technological innovations, relating mathematics and computation and applying those in the frontier of neuroscience.
O Centro de Pesquisa, Inovação e Difusão NeuroMat está oferecendo bolsas de treinamento técnico (TT5) para profissionais interessados em aplicar seus conhecimentos de computação no desenvolvimento de pesquisa científica de alto nível. Este projeto tem como objetivo integrar modelagem matemática e computacional com pesquisa básica e aplicada na fronteira da neurociência. Atualmente, os laboratórios de pesquisas são capazes de gerar grandes quantidades de dados e a análise desses dados depende de novos modelos matemáticos, estatísticos e computacionais. O bolsista irá interagir com pesquisadores da Universidade de São Paulo e demais colaboradores do Centro de Neuromatemática em atividades de suporte à pesquisa científica do centro, especificamente na coleta, tratamento e análise de dados de sinais eletrofisiológicos, tais como EEG, TMS, EMG, etc.
